Earlier this week, volunteers from throughout our community learned how they can help on the second stage of the 45th Ward Participatory Budgeting process. During the first phase, we received more than 100 ideas of how to spend $1 million of aldermanic menu money next year. Learn more about the process at my website.
The committees will take these ideas, investigate them for costs and feasibility, and recommend projects to go on the participatory budgeting budget. All 45th Ward residents 16 and older will have the chance to vote on those projects Sunday, May 5. Learn more about the process at
The committees are Parks & Schools, Transit, Streets, Streetscape (street furniture and signage)
