New Public Art in 45
The 45th Ward received new public art this week in Gladstone Park and at Six Corners.
The Six Corners Association sponsored “The Essence of Nature” by Janet Austin in partnership with Chicago Sculpture Exhibit. The sculpture, located in front of 4021 N. Milwaukee, celebrates nature in our urban environment.

Sterling Bay Development generously donated “Weighing-Scale of Nature” by Jorge Leyva, which was placed in the plaza area located at Northwest Highway and Central. This thought-provoking piece will serve as a catalyst to dialogue while activating a previously empty space.

Both sculptures will remain in place for one year through the Chicago Sculpture Exhibit. I hope you will take time over the long weekend to experience both in person.
