Police are looking for an individual they believe is responsible for three business armed robberies since Jan. 26.
The first incident occurred at about 8:05 pm Sunday, Jan. 26, where a man walked into a store with a black handgun and demanded money from the register. The second incident happened at 10:20 am Monday, Jan. 27, in the 5300 block of Milwaukee. The third incident was at 9:04 pm Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the 6200 block of Belmont.
The suspect is described as a male white or Hispanic, between 30 and 42 years old. He is between 5’5″ and 5’10” and weighs between 270 and 300 pounds. He was dressed in dark clothing and armed with a black handgun.
Businesses should make sure that any alarms and surveillance systems are functioning properly.

Also, please be on the lookout for suspicious activity in alleys in Old Irving Park. Neighbors report that thieves have broken into at least 8 garages recently by ramming a car into the overhead door and crawling through the broken door panel.
