This coming Tuesday, Aug. 14, we invite you to join a teleconference to discuss the proposal of mixed-income homes for veterans and the disabled at 5150 N. Northwest Hwy. Originally proposed as a 100-unit development, Full Circle Communities, the non-profit developer, pared down the proposal in response to community input earlier this year to 75 units with fewer 3-bedroom units.
While there have been many opportunities to discuss the details of this important development, I wanted to make sure community residents have every opportunity to learn about the proposal and ask questions before it moves forward.
The call will be from 7 pm to 8:30 pm Tuesday, Aug. 14. To join the teleconference town hall, call 312-792-3983.
As a reminder, you can find a comprehensive FAQ on the most current proposal at http://ward45.org/5150-n-northwest-highway/. Also, the builder is creating a website at https://courb.com/5150 where you can view renderings and make comments. That website should go live Friday, Aug. 10.
As always, you are also welcome to visit me during ward nights to address any additional comments you may have. Those are most Tuesdays from 5-7 pm in the ward office, located at 4754 N. Milwaukee Ave. In addition, you may email my office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 773-286-4545.
I look forward to hearing from you on how we move the Jefferson Park Shopping District forward and create opportunities for safe, accessible homes for our veterans and the disabled.
